Tregoniggie Titan

This is a huge Ash tree in Tregoniggie Woods which is said to be a few hundreds of years old!

The Tregoniggie Titan; a very old oak tree that still carries on growing and coming into leaf each year. Many suspect that it is a few centuries old, although no one knows the exact age.

Unusually for me, I chose to show this tree in black and white. Just look at the shapes and forms that this tree has grown in!

Look at the light and how it falls. How each crevice can hold life within it.

Despite its age, the tree supports a multitude of life, including ferns and other shrubs. These then provide homes for more wildlife.

Certainly a tree that keeps on giving.
